Episode Cats13, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3, Episode 3 was a special episode broadcast on 17 January 2014, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3.
8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Jon Richardson and Sean Lock were the contestants, along with Kathy Burke and Josh Widdicombe who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.
The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Kathy Burke, winning by 42 – 37 in a 9-rounder and they won a set of three Countdown towels.
Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was Dara Ó Briain, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
This episode was infamous for a blooper in Round 8 where Joe initially picked out the letters AGON and shuffled it randomly, and realising he could get the rude word GONADS he would take his top off if it happened which he did after picking out the D and S.
NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
