Richard Osman was a contestant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, as well as a guest on Countdown. He is a TV presenter and producer who is famous for being the former executive producer of 8 Out of 10 Cats and Catsdown, the former assistant to Alexander Armstrong on the daytime version of Pointless from 2009 to 2022 and the host of Richard Osman's House of Games.
Osman made his regular Countdown debut on 2 January 2023, as the Dictionary Corner guest overseeing the opening week of Championship of Champions XVI. On 6 January, he notably read out the answer of the first Teatime Teaser and then presented Rounds 4 and 5 with Colin Murray moving to his usual position in Dictionary Corner. His debut week also saw him as the last debut guest under Colin Murray's tenure as temporary presenter.
