David Roe played Will Rogers, with David Roe winning 95 – 53. The Dictionary Corner guest was Neil Delamere, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

This was the first year in the show's history where Halloween was celebrated. To acknowledge the occasion, the entire studio was given a one-off makeover by being adorned with themed set props and orange, purple and green lighting. In addition, the cast were dressed up – Colin Murray as his originally created character "Count Down", Rachel Riley as "Marilyn Spunroe", Dent as "The Hexicographer", and Delamere as Frankenstein's monster.
