Gevincountdown was the first Countdown forum to use Yahoo Groups. It was run and created by Gevin on 26 September 2002. Martin Gardner became a moderator of the forum in its last few months before c4countdown replaced it. The forum received about 9,300 messages, but is is no longer active. The main contributors included many series champions and octochamps, most notably Chris Wills, Julian Fell and Pete Cashmore. These same players moved to c4countdown after a number of disputes with Gevin, Zef and an increasing numbers of adverts that were getting through to the forum. Stewart Holden created c4countdown and this replaced Gevincountdown.
