Episode 1614 was broadcast on 7 February 1995, as part of Series 29.
Tony Buffey played Stanley Ward, with Stanley Ward winning 46 – 39. The Dictionary Corner guest was Jenny Hanley, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
This is one of only two known games in which neither player achieved the maximum possible score in any round, the other being Episode 1189 (Series 22). Interestingly, both players would, however, make it into the series finals.
