Joyce Cansfield played Mark Nyman, with Mark Nyman winning 65 – 34. The Dictionary Corner guests were Ned Sherrin and Nigel Rees, and the lexicographer was Yvonne Warburton.
NOTE: This final was only 30 minutes, unlike all other finals at the time, which were extended to 45-minutes.
