Allan Saldanha played Antony Stafford, with Allan Saldanha winning 60 – 24. The Dictionary Corner guest was Clement Freud, and the lexicographer was Julia Swannell.
NOTE: Saldanha's declaration of CLOAK in Round 7 should have been allowed (in the same round Stafford was disallowed the invalid word LACKIES – {{{2}}}, due to incorrect spelling, as it should be LACKEYS – {{{2}}}). Neither of these errors affected the outcome of the game, but the final score should have been 66 – 24.
