8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 20 was a series of three special episodes that began on 31 July 2020 and ended on 14 August 2020. All episodes were recorded prior to the COVID-19 pandemic as evident by the presence of audience members coupled with the fact that Rachel Riley was still pregnant with her first and only child to date for the first two episodes.

Based on the air dates over the last two years, the Series was expected to have ended on 4 September. However, due to the aforementioned pandemic which caused a nationwide lockdown, filming for the remainder episodes was unable to proceed and was replaced by 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown: Best Bits. It also remains unknown at this point if a Christmas Special will be taped this year.
