Crucial is a book published by Mark Tournoff in 2007, published by Mark's own publishing firm Forestdale publications. The book details Mark's experience on Countdown, including his winning of the Series 52 final on a crucial conundrum against Paul Gallen, and his losing of the Championship of Champions XII final against the same player, on another crucial conundrum. The title crucial is a reference to the crucial conundrums he played on the show, a crucial conundrum being when one player or the other is leading by less than 10 points, and therefore either player can still win.
