David Stanford was a finalist in Series 71.

Stanford's run on the show was noticeable for him often coming from behind to win close matches, including clawing back a 22 point deficit in his debut appearance against Russ Thornton, and his narrow win over Callum Pickering where he would have lost if Pickering hadn't forgotten to declare not written down in a numbers game. Stanford's luck ran out in his eighth heat game but he returned as number 7 seed for the finals. In his quarter-final against Antoinette Ryan, he kept the game close but ultimately lost on the final numbers game.
