The second episode of Celebrity Countdown was broadcast on 30 April 1998, with Jo Brand beating Arthur Smith 37 – 29. The lexicographer was Susie Dent and the Dictionary Corner guest was Bamber Gascoigne.
A framed picture of the photo on the right was the subject of Rufus Hound's anecdote in Episode 7103, with Hound hurling it behind him upon discovering that Richard and Carol were not Nick and Rachel.
