8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 8, Episode 5 was a special episode broadcast on 31 March 2016, as part of 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups Series 8.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with Katherine Ryan and David Mitchell, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Katherine Ryan, winning by 38 – 32 in an 7-rounder.

Rachel Riley was the arithmetician for this episode. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nick Helm, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

There was a bonus round called "Add Up to 140" played in between the second Teaser and Round 5 between Sean and Jon; 5 points were awarded to Jon's Team for getting the closest to the target using characteristics from the studio audience such as age, weight etc.
