Series 87 is due to commence on 23 January 2023, following the Championship of Champions XVI, and is expected to conclude in June.

Peter Burke, who won the last 5 heat games of the previous series, will carry over his unbeaten run in the first episode of this series.

Colin Murray will host this series on-screen from its beginning until at least February or March 2023, as per his contract; the future of the show’s presenter beyond is yet to be known.
