8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 2 was a series of six special episodes that began on 26 July 2013 and ended on 20 September 2013 with an 80s special.

To that point in time, four shows had been broadcast, and following the success of these episodes, this six episode series was commissioned by Channel 4 in June 2013. Episode 5 was most notable in being the first episode to have bonus points not associated with the main game.
