Alan Carr is a guest and contestant on Countdown and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown respectively, returning to the Countdown scene over a decade after his last appearance. He is a stand-up comedian, broadcaster, writer and television personality, known for his chat show, Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

In January 2018, he married his long-time partner of ten years, Paul Drayton, but divorced him in January 2022.

In November 2025, he won the first Series of The Celebrity Traitors as the sole traitor remaining, beating Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga in the Final.
