Vicky Smith (Series 39)

Vicky Smith was a finalist in Series 40.

She first appeared in Series 39 and won enough games to qualify for the series finals as number 7 seed, but was not able to attend due to illness, so she was invited back in Series 40 as a quarter-finalist, qualifying this time as number 6 seed.

In her original Series 39 run in September to October 1998, Vicky was a 20-year-old student who was in her final year of a degree in Classical Studies at Newcastle University. By the time the Series 40 quarter-finals were recorded she had graduated, and was working as an Assistant Manager for a large bookmaker in her hometown of Birmingham.
