Ian Lamb played Sarah Flynn, with Ian Lamb winning 79 – 69, after a tiebreak conundrum. The Dictionary Corner guest was Richard Digance, and the lexicographer was Alison Heard with this episode marking Heard’s last appearance as lexicographer on the show to date.

This was the last ever time that a lexicographer other than Susie Dent was utilised in Dictionary Corner (excluding Episode 7592 due to it being a one-off). During Dent's absences from Series 84 to 86, the celebrity guest would double up as lexicographer too.
