This episode's maximum score of 175 points is the joint highest in the entire history of Countdown, alongside Episode 7341 and Episode 7945. This game was also the first game in the "new" 15-round format in which nine-letter words were available in five different rounds.
After the broadcast, Channel 4 published an Instagram post associating vegans with ASSWIPE in Round 4, which caused a huge controversy. [1] This also resulted in Episode Cats95 having to air a week later than scheduled after there were insults about vegans.
