Mary (possibly Mary Craig although her surname was never given) was a lexicographer on Countdown. She was a graduate from the University of Leeds.
She was the first woman to appear on Channel 4 (unbeknown to many who think that Carol Vorderman was actually the first) and the very first lexicographer on the show.
