- The highest score ever obtained is Julian Fell's 146, in his semi-final on 18 December 2002.
- The highest score in the 9-round format was 83, reached first by Stephen Balment on 14 April 1987, and then tied by Allan Saldanha in the Supreme Championships on 21 November 1996.
- The record lowest scores belong to Sylvia Pitman and John Brooks, who failed to score a single point between them in Episodes 2343 and 637 respectively.
- The lowest score in the 15-round era was Judy Smedley's 18 against John Marlowe in Series 49.
Round scores
- The record score after 2 rounds is an unbeatable 36, held by Julia Wilkinson following her double-nine opening in Episode 3280.

- The highest total in an octochamp run is 924, set by Julian Fell in Series 48. In Series 57, Craig Beevers became the second person to break 900 when he made 907.
