Charlie Reams played Steve Briers, with Steve Briers winning 88 – 67. The Dictionary Corner guest was Paul Zenon, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

This episode was notable for Reams comically buzzing in the conundrum with GANDISEEG immediately after Briers' wrong answer, referring to Richard Brittain's guess at the conundrum in the first round of the tournament.
