Episode S45 was broadcast on 10 April 2015, as a special episode between two contestants who were in the police force.
Matt Croy played Craig Lingard, with Matt Croy winning 91 – 66. The Dictionary Corner guest was Paul Zenon, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
Like Episode S44, this episode was also broadcast at 6am. This episode also used the old 15-round format, which was still being used when this was recorded in 2012, and it is the final game to have premiered in this format, although a few specials recorded during the Richard Whiteley and Jeff Stelling eras are yet to emerge.
