James Hall was a contestant in Series 64 and 65. He is an Apterite and is a member of C4Countdown.
After TOUGHED was disallowed in his game against Andy McGurn, controversy sparked. Jeff Stelling then said publicly that the OUP told the Countdown production team afterwards that TOUGHED should have been allowed. Hall would have had a tie-break conundrum and could have won the game, so the Countdown production team invited him back for the next series.
