Paul Gallen is widely regarded as one of the greatest Countdown players of all time. He finished runner-up in the particularly strong Series 52, after losing out to Mark Tournoff on a crucial conundrum in the grand final.
His finest hour came at the Championship of Champions XII, which was dubbed 'The Tournament of Death' as a result of the remarkably strong selection of competitors involved, including Mark Tournoff, Conor Travers and Paul Howe. Paul Gallen became a Countdown folk legend when he defeated Tournoff in the final, thus gaining revenge for his series defeat.
He now goes to Belfast University, studying Law.
