Lewis debuted on 21 October 2022 against 3-time winner Christy Cooper, narrowly winning his first game by 66 points to Cooper's 64. From here, he won a further 6 matches with a personal best of 94 in his seventh match. His run came to a end in his eighth game against Fi Hamilton, missing out on becoming an octochamp, but Lewis eventually qualified for the series finals placing as the number 8 seed with 626 points.
Lewis returned for the finals on 15 December 2022, against the number one seed Tom Stevenson. Stevenson struck very early on, leaving Lewis trailing behind. However, Lewis matched Tom in the closing letter rounds, bowing out with 44 points to Stevenson's 121 points. Lewis obtained an overall total of 670 points across his run.
