Maureen Barr in the second ever edition of Countdown.
Maureen Barr was a contestant in Series 1. She was the first female contestant to appear on this show.
She was a keen Scrabble player who entered many local and national competitions over the years, and always welcomed Scrabblers to her home.
She sadly died in January 2011.
