Episode 1877 was broadcast on 8 November 1996, and was the third quarter-final of Group D in the Supreme Championship.

A famous blooper occurred in this episode when Whiteley previewed the following episode, inadvertently referring to Stephen Balment as a lady.

The episode started with Richard providing a solution for the first Numbers Round in Episode 1875, which Carol claimed as "impossible to solve".
