Welcome to Crispy's userpage Hello there, and welcome to my userpage. My name is Chris Philpot, and I'm a former contestant who appeared in Series 51, losing in my only game to Ariane Sherine. I was told about c4countdown shortly after appearing and I've been a contributor to the online scene ever since, invariably under the handle of either Crispy or CountdownCrispy. I'm also a fairly inactive Wikipedian; my userpage there offers additional information about me and my life, if you are feeling particularly stalkerish. As with much of the online Countdown community, my contributions to the wiki are very much "on/off", with spurts of activity interrupted by long spells of apathy. However, for the last few months I have been a very active member of the wiki, and I was chuffed when Charlie Reams made me an admin on 2 October 2009. Subsequently, if you spot any naughtiness going on round these parts then feel free to let me know as I might well be able to help. Recap checking project During my present spell of activity on the wiki I am proofreading many of the recaps for games which I have accumulated on DVD and Sky+, as well as many others, as a member of the recap checking project. If you are also a member of the project, you may wish to view my cheat sheet, which contains lots of useful and/or frequently required snippets of wiki markup to greatly speed up the checking process. Additionally, between the 1st of July, 2009 and the 16th of September, 2009 I was principal recapper for episodes of Countdown broadcast on Wednesdays; I am now more of a relief recapper for those Wednesdays when I don't have lectures. If you'd like clarification on anything I've done on a recent recap, or indeed on any older recaps from my short time in charge of the (equally short) run of Saturday editions of the show during Series 54, please get in touch via my talk page. Other contributions I'm also doing quite a few other little odds and sods along my way. I've vainly beefed up my contestant article, but also altered many other pages on the Wiki to bring them up to scratch. Images Furthermore, I am a keen Photoshopper and so am happy to perform any image related tasks that might well arise when running a Wiki such as this one. So far all I've done is adjust a smattering of screengrab aspect ratios, but I am up for being involved in larger graphical projects.
