Niall Laverty

Niall Laverty was a quarter-finalist in Series 22. He was a 29-year-old freelance IT consultant from Belfast.

Laverty also appeared on Fifteen to One in 1988 and on 29 May 2019, The Weakest Link in August 2001 (which he won), Britain's Best Brain in 2009, Pointless on 26 and 27 January 2012, Perfection on 6 and 7 February 2012, where he became the first contestant to play the perfect game, answering all 18 questions correctly, The Chase on 20 December 2012, and, with Andy Bruno, The Krypton Factor on 21 September 1987, Matchpoint, The Travel Quiz, and Eggheads.

His sister, Joanne, appeared on Countdown 34 years later in Series 91 and won one game.
