Ivy Baird, also known as Dixie Baird (from her full name of Ivy Dixon-Baird) was a finalist in Series 2. She was from Nottingham.
In 1991, Baird also participated in an unreleased Countdown Masters episode against Frank Houston from Series 14. Between 2002-2003, she filmed a 15-round game against Series 1 winner Joyce Cansfield, but this was also never broadcast, giving Baird the distinction of being the only contestant to have ever participated in two unreleased games.
In 2006, she returned to the Countdown world again, for the unofficial COLIN 2006 tournament.
Ivy is also a keen Scrabble player and has appeared on The Weakest Link.
