Shemina 'Shem' Kirby was a contestant in Series 57 and 92. At the time of both of her appearances, she was a biomedical scientist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford while also living in Oxfordshire.
In her first appearance, she unluckily ran into eventual octochamp and series champion Craig Beevers during his heat games; the latter ultimately defeated Kirby without too much trouble.
But upon her return almost 18 years later, she made a much greater mark by securing her teapot thanks to a closely fought victory over Mel Smith in the first show of Series 92. She then followed it up with six further victories, before just losing out on octochampdom to Chas McLaughlin. But her seven wins were eventually enough to qualify for the end-of-series finals; she will return on 11 December as No. 8 seed to play against No. 1 seed Jase Cullen in the first Series 92 quarter-final.
Unfortunately, in Episode 8667 Cullen had far too much in the tank, and powered away to a very dominant victory similarly Craig Beevers's performance in her first match back in 2007. This meant Shemina was knocked out for a second time, and finished with 658 points from nine games, to add to the 40 points earned in her Series 57 game.
