Ben Hocking was a contestant in Series 72 and 92. As of his first appearance, he was an undergraduate Business Management student at Bath Spa University and administrative assistant at the Eden Project. But as of his second set of games, he was a Formula 1 podcaster running his own show Late Braking, having also worked as a client success manager until mid-2024.
He is also an Apterite and before his return to Countdown, he made an appearance in ZoomDown Series 4 in late-2021.
He is the first returning contestant from 2015.
