ZoomDown Series 4

ZoomDown Series 4 was the 4th and final series of ZoomDown hosted by Paul Anderson. It began on 7 September 2021, concluded on December 23rd, and was won by Rachael Montgomery, which makes her the first female champion of ZoomDown.

Unlike the first three series, episodes were broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, instead of Mondays to avoid clashing with BBC Two's "Quizzy Monday" block of Mastermind, Only Connect and University Challenge.

This series introduced graphics designed by Graeme Cole, displaying the scorelines, round scores and the letters, numbers and conundrum boards. It also introduced Cole's buzzers, meaning the contestants can now buzz in rather than having to say "buzz".

Since Series 60, players are sorted by number of wins, then by number of points. Points from both wins and losses count. Points from sudden death conundrums are not counted, and players with the same number of wins and points are sorted by the number of conundrums correctly guessed, then highest single-game score.

NOTE: Ahmed Mohamed withdrew from the competition for personal reasons, undefeated on 1 win and 117 points. The next game was played with two new players. Eeshan Malhotra also withdrew from the competition, undefeated on 3 wins and 347 points. The next game (the final heat game) was played with the opponents he defeated in his run. Adam Beach, who was number 4 seed with 4 wins and 371 points, withdrew before the finals.
