Michael "Mick" Purdie was a contestant in Series 8, Series 36 and Series 78. He was from Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
In his original appearance in Series 8 in 1986, he was 35 years of age and working as a radio officer. When he re-appeared on the show in Series 36 in 1997, he was now 47 years old, and billed as working as a civil servant.
He returned again in 2018 for an unprecedented third stint as a contestant on the show.
