Series 92 is the current series of Countdown. It commenced on 30 June 2025, and is expected to conclude on 19 December 2025.

Mel Smith, who won the final three preliminary matches of Series 91, returned to continue her run in the first heat of the series but lost the match.

Episode 8553 was broadcast five minutes earlier at 14:05 to accommodate the live practice of the 2025 British Grand Prix. This was also the first episode to use Teatime Teasers that vary in length, with the first consisting of nine letters whilst the second had eight. Since this episode, teasers have varied in length sporadically.

Apterite David Holmes has appeared in the series so far, with Series 70 contestant and fellow Apterite Ciaran McCarthy, who first appeared in 2014, due to return on-screen in September 2025.
