8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 22 was a series of seven special episodes of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown that began on 24 December 2021 with a Christmas special and ended on 11 February 2022 with a final and posthumous appearance of Team Captain Sean Lock who had passed away from lung cancer in mid-August 2021. This was the first series to be broadcast since his death as well, with an image of him on the show and an accompanying caption acknowledging this during the two episodes mentioned above.
