Gevincountdown

Gevincountdown was the first Countdown forum to use Yahoo Groups. It was run and created by Gevin who remained anonymous throughout the time the forum was popular. Martin Gardner became a moderator of the forum in its last few months before C4countdown replaced it. The forum received about 9200 messages, although now has almost no members, and receives less than one message per week. The main contributors included many series champions and Octochamps, most notably Chris Wills, Julian Fell and Pete Cashmore. These same players moved to C4countdown after a numbers disputes with Gevin, Zef and and increasing numbers of adverts that were getting through to the forum. Stewart Holden created C4countdown and this replaced Gevincountdown.
