Series 85 is the current series of Countdown and the second series presented by Anne Robinson. It will begin on 3 January 2022, and is expected to conclude in June 2022.

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon will temporarily serve as stand-in arithmetician for the first 51 episodes of this series due to Rachel Riley's maternity leave; her last episode will be Episode 7717.

Apterites confirmed to appear in this series include Dan Byrom, Gabriel Thallon and Robbie Pender. Others that may potentially appear include Ronan Higginson, Dave Robjohns, Christy Cooper, Chris Kirby and Harry F.
