This episode marked the first instance in which any contestant spotted three nine-letter words in a new 15-round game, as well as the first (in any format) in which both contestants spotted three nine-letter words. Also, at the time, Cappleman and Webb's combined score of 248 was the highest ever achieved in the new 15-round format, beating 242 on 20 December 2013. It was beaten with 252 just 11 days later.
