David Barnard was an octochamp and semi-finalist in Series 67, as well as a participant in Championship of Champions XIV.
Debuting the day after octochamp Heather Styles completed her run, Barnard began his Countdown career with the 9 letter word DELATIONS, running out the winner 94-69 against Susan Holden. 7 more wins, including 3 centuries followed to see Barnard rack up 771 points. He returned in the finals as No. 2 seed, defeating Chris Marshall in the quarter finals to set up a semi-final clash with No. 3 seed Styles.
