Series 14 ran from October 1987 to December 1987. It was the first series to feature Karen Loughlin as letters hostess, and was won by Nic Brown.

The seeds were determined by points total, irrespective of number of wins. The total includes points from both wins and draws, although not losses. Eleanor Crosby was undefeated at the end of the series' preliminaries and opted to enter the finals for this series.
