Co:Braintree 2023

Countdown in Braintree 2023 was a co-event hosted by Jeff Clayton on 4 November 2023 as the sixteenth and final preliminary round of the 2023 FOCAL season. It was won by Jack Hurst, who had accumulated the most wins and points after the games played. There was no grand final in order to allow extra time for the quiz rounds.

It was held at St Michael's Church House in the town of Braintree in Essex, where 20 of 22* attendees played five 14-round games in the Bristol format, alternating with rounds of "The Big Weekend Quiz": a format devised by Clayton for pub quizzes he regularly presents.

*John Courable and Marlies van Wijk withdrew after four games.
