Finals
A strong finish helped James defeat Grant Waters in the quarter-finals, and survived an unsolved crucial conundrum in his semi-final against Rose Boyle to book his place in the grand final, where he defeated Heather Styles to win the last full series to be recorded at the Granada Studios.
Championship of Champions XIV
James returned in 2016 for Championship of Champions XIV, but lost in the first round to Series 71 champion Dan McColm.
