Latest revision as of 23:47, 14 November 2023

Championship of Champions VI ran from 4 to 12 January 1993, and was won by Wayne Summers. Its eight contestants were drawn from Series 20 through 24, though Series 20 had taken place prior to Championship of Champions V; the reasons for Derek Coombs and Fiona Willis entering VI rather than V is unknown.

Seed table

Rank Name Wins Points
1 Chris Waddington 11 680
2 Derek Coombs 10 648
3 Phil Jordan 10 607
4 Barry Grossman 8 544
5 Robert Teuton 7 534
6 Wayne Summers 8 472
7 Fiona Willis 6+1 407
8 Jackie McLeod 5 359*
Between Series 22 and Series 37, players were ranked by total number of points, including winning and losing scores.

*Apparently, Jackie's total was given as 292 on the show, but this is incorrect. The 67 it is short corresponds to her losing score of 67 points in the grand final of Series 21. (That said, since losing scores only started to be counted to a player's score from the following series, it is possible this is where the confusion arises.)
