Tony Warren was an octochamp in and the runner-up of Series 55, and a participant in Championship of Champions XIII. He was a retired computer systems engineer from Somerton, Somerset.

He started his run by defeating Jenny Turner on 10 May 2006 towards the end of Series 54 to secure his first victory. Warren followed this with five more wins. After making way for the series finals and Championship of Champions XII, Warren completed two more victories to attain octochamp status with 712 points, to become the eventual number four seed.

Warren came back to face an off-form Chris McHenry in the quarter-finals, running out an easy 75 – 37 winner. Phil Watson was next – this time, Warren had a bad start, finding himself 16 points behind after just three rounds. However, by the end of Round 11, the scores were level again. Watson retook a slight edge, going into the conundrum seven points ahead, but Warren turned LYFETREES into FREESTYLE in 10.5 seconds to book his final berth. In the grand final, Richard Brittain made sure the series victory was his, pulling away from Warren in the second part and never looking back.

He returned for Championship of Champions XIII, facing the unbeaten Junaid Mubeen in the first round, but lost 80 – 55 in one of the lowest scoring games in the competition.

In 2009, Tony's wife, Carol, appeared as a contestant.
