Co:Brum 2024
Countdown in Birmingham 2024 is an upcoming co-event to be hosted by Matthew S Rutherford on 3 August 2024 as the twelfth round of the 2024 FOCAL season. It was won by Jack Hurst, who beat Ben Wilson 72 – 28 in the grand final.
It was held at Paramo Lounge in Solihull, where 33 attendees played eight 9-round games in the "Lincoln" format.
This was the last co-event to have players adjudicate against the Apterous dictionary in its state prior to the major overhaul given to Oxford Dictionaries Premium on 16 July 2024, which saw the removal of approximately 93,000 words. These changes came into effect on Apterous during the third round of the event.
