A Jos game is a lesser-used term coined by Gevin (and a better version of Rhys Benjamin's terminology of "DC Max"). It refers to a game that that was not beaten by Dictionary Corner, but equally could have been beaten: i.e. if an otherwise max game was spoiled only by a DC beater or RR beater, it is considered a "Jos game". The name "Jos" comes from a play on words of Jos and Max Verstappen, two Formula One drivers.

Example of a Jos game

From Episode 7470, the only words that Luke Boynton failed to spot here were NUCLEOIDS in Round 2 and SIMARUBA in Round 12, which also defeated Dictionary Corner.
