A Jos game is a lesser-used term coined by Gevin (and a better version of Rhys Benjamin's terminology of "DC Max"). It refers to a game that that was not beaten by Dictionary Corner, but equally could have been beaten: i.e. if an otherwise max game was spoiled only by a DC beater or RR beater, it is considered a "Jos game". The name "Jos" comes from a play on words of Jos and Max Verstappen, two Formula One drivers, with Jos being the father of four-time World Drivers' Champion, Max.
Example of a Jos game
From Episode 7470, the only words that Luke Boynton failed to spot here were NUCLEOIDS in Round 2 and SIMARUBA in Round 12, which also defeated Dictionary Corner.

So far, there have been at least seven 15-round instances of a Jos game. These games are sorted chronologically.
Notably, the match between Dan Byrom and Ahmed Mohamed in the Championship of Champions XVI semi-finals was a double Jos game, as Dan only dropped points on the conundrum, a round in which at most can only have one contestant who scores points.
