9-round format

The first contestant to score under 10 in the 9-round format was Fred Jean on 16 November 1983. This would stand as the lowest ever score for nearly four years until John Brooks failed to score against Mark Preston on 19 August 1987. The 80 point difference was all the biggest differential of the 9-round era. Eleven years later, Sylvia Pitman equalled Brooks' record by not scoring a single point on 7 September 1998. On this list, Neil Greenall is notable as being the only player to win a game before making the score under 10.

Evolution of the lowest scores

9-round format

The results of many of the games from Series 1 are unknown, so this list may be incomplete.

Old 15-round format

New 15-round format

Notable exception

Keith Pottage scored 12 points against Jonathan Anstey in his appearance in Series 18. During the game, Anstey had MIRIER disallowed. However, LIMIER was ruled valid, so MIRIER should have been too. Therefore, Pottage's score should have been 7. This is not included in this list.
