Countdown Masters Series 1 ran from 3 April 1989 to 30 March 1990, concurrently with Series 18 and 19 of Countdown. It was won by Julian Hough. Episodes were initially broadcast at 6:05 am and repeated at 8:19 am, but in September this changed to just one scheduled broadcast at 8:45 am.
